Ride the Bus

Published by mrs.maggie at 10:21 pm under thrift Edit This

While riding the bus can save you money in and of itself, the hidden bonus is the eavesdropping.   See,  people who ride the bus are usually short of the green stuff much of the time, and they’ll tell anyone who listens (or listens in) their secrets of savings.  My son overheard two moms discussing ramen noodles.  One mom was saying how ramen noodles are a great money saver since they make a good starter.  “I just add a can of beans and some vegetables.  If there’s a little leftover meat I cut that up too”

“Oh” says her friend, “I just get the cup of noodles.  It’s got vegetables in it already”.  Well, since I raised my son right, of course he realized that packaged ramen on sale at 10 for a buck with your own added extras is not only the better buy, but the better nutritional choice as well.  Moral of the story:  When eavesdropping on the bus, look at both sides of the story before you decide whose ideas to steal.
